1. Single-passage purpose
Memo: Beginning next month, expense claims must be submitted through the staff portal rather than by email. A fifteen-minute demonstration will be held in Room 4 on Thursday at 11 a.m. A recording will be posted afterward for employees who cannot attend.
Answer or self-check: To announce a new expense-claim process and explain how staff can learn it.
Why: The first sentence announces the change; the remaining sentences explain live and recorded training options.
2. Deadline detail
Use the expense-claim memo above.
Answer or self-check: A recording of the demonstration.
Why: “Posted afterward” links the recording to people who cannot attend. Room 4 and 11 a.m. describe the live session only.
3. Double-passage relationship
Email from Mina: Could the Riverside Hotel reserve a vegetarian lunch for our trainer on 18 September? Reply from hotel: We have added the meal request to booking R417. Please send any allergy details by 15 September.
Answer or self-check: Send any allergy details by 15 September.
Why: The hotel confirms the vegetarian meal first, then requests a separate follow-up with a clear deadline.
