1. Write from Dictation

Why: Check the plural “scholarships”, the infinitive “to submit”, and the adjective “financial”; each is easy to omit or alter from memory.
2. Highlight Correct Summary
A lecturer explains that repairing consumer electronics is often difficult because parts are glued together and replacement components are unavailable. New repairability rules aim to improve access to parts and manuals, but their impact will depend on product design and enforcement.
Answer or self-check: B. Repair is constrained by design and parts access; new rules may help, but results depend on implementation.
Why: B includes both the current barriers and the qualified potential of the rules. A overstates success, while C reduces several causes to one.
3. Summarize Spoken Text plan
A short talk compares green roofs with ordinary roofs: plants can reduce summer heat and slow rainwater runoff, but installation costs and structural limits mean they are not suitable for every building.
Answer or self-check: Include the cooling benefit, the slower rainwater runoff, and the limitation created by cost or building structure.
Why: A balanced summary retains the two main benefits and the speaker’s qualification instead of presenting the solution as universal.
