Some people think that the government should try to make the difference between rich and poor smaller. Other people believe that this is not the job of the government. I think the government should help poor people but not give them too much money.

There are many reasons why some people believe the government should reduce the gap between rich and poor. One reason is that poor people often cannot afford things like good schools or doctors. If the government helps them, they might have a better life. For example, in some countries, the government gives money to poor families to help them pay for school. This can help children get a better education and maybe find a good job in the future.

However, other people think the government should not do this. They believe that if the government gives too much money to poor people, they might not try to work hard. In my opinion, the government should help poor people but not give them too much money. The government should give them enough money to live but not so much that they do not want to work.
