Firstly, keeping elderly people at home has advantages. They feel happy and comfortable in familiar places. Also, families can take care of them. However, this can be expensive. The government needs to pay for home care services. Moreover, not all families have time to look after old people.

On the other hand, nursing homes can provide professional care. Doctors and nurses are available 24/7. This is good for very old or sick people. But, nursing homes can be costly too. Also, some old people feel lonely there.
