Use the vocabulary level test as a quick diagnostic before choosing IELTS, TOEFL, or general English vocabulary practice.
Your vocabulary level is a starting signal, not a final diagnosis. If your result is B1, focus on high-frequency academic and workplace words. If it is B2, begin adding IELTS and TOEFL topic vocabulary. If it is C1 or above, practise precision, collocation, and active use in writing and speaking.
The fastest improvement comes from reviewing words slightly above your current level. Words that are too easy do not move your score, and words that are too rare usually do not appear often enough to justify the time.
This test provides a quick estimate of your vocabulary level based on 20 words ranging from A1 to C2 (CEFR scale). For a more thorough assessment, take a full practice test on English AIdol.
CEFR has 6 levels: A1 (Beginner), A2 (Elementary), B1 (Intermediate), B2 (Upper-Intermediate), C1 (Advanced), C2 (Proficiency).
